Quality Assurance Analyst (PT Contract)

The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance Analyst Contractor is an enthusiastic, self-starter, who lives our values while providing outstanding support to our software users. The primary goals of the Quality Assurance Analyst are to drive the software development testing effort by providing hands-on development of testing suites in an Agile-Scrum environment.

This is a 6-month contract position, 20 hours per week, with the option of a contract extension. Hourly rate: $35/hour.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for functional, system integration testing and regression of new features and upgrades of proprietary software
  • Develop test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts to ensure quality delivery of solution(s)
  • Provide QA guidance to programmers and analysts
  • Design and execute automated and manual testing
  • Record, track and report all defects and exceptions
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of proprietary software solution being tested and software development life cycle
  • Basic ability to use SQL to query a relational database for testing purposes
  • Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Strong troubleshooting, reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment or individually on small projects
  • Self-motivation and a thirst for learning new technologies and tools; adaptable to constant change and challenges
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another related field
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in software development, testing or software support
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
  • Exhibit a sharp eye and attention to detail and quality
  • Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format
